4 days in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia

We went to Malaysia on our way back from Shanghai to Melbourne at the end of September in 2013.

Day one:

1. Transit Visa. In AirAsia airport, transit visa place was just inside the customs hall, opposite to the customs checkin gate, and beside the window next to the Islamic Bank (islam bank), there is outstanding words "120 hours transit visa", it is easy to find. Presenting the next trip air ticket, passport and immigration sheet to Malaysian immigration officer. Then the visa officer will give you a form (that is the main content of the passport and flight number, etc.). The white card in front of a column should fill the purpose of entry "transit"! After handing in the form, we wait for about 15 mins then the officer returned the passports to us with visa in them.


After entry, following the crowd, we saw some shops to sell sim card, yellow DiGi, 28 ringgit, 10 ringgit which can be used for phone calls, 15 ringgit for one week of data packages. For Chinese domestic phone called 1,330,086, check the balance dial * 126 #.

Getting out of LCCT, there was a visitor center and a restaurant, we got a free map and had our breakfast, there were OldTown White Coffee, White Coffee meals, nasi lemak, laksa (白咖啡简餐 白咖啡、椰浆饭、叻沙).

We took the sky bus to KL sentral station, bought tickets on board, about 9RM per person.




2, Accommodation: Hotel Summer View, which is quite close to KL SENTER. out of the station we can see the hotel building.

KL Sentral is divided into three floors, we felt it very complex in the first place, G is the bottom floor: Bus Stop, Genting bus, airport bus; rail station is located in the first floor, mainly to the city's light rail, as well as to the airport bus, Information Center, McDonald's snack food restaurant, snack bar, buy phone cards in this floor; the second floor is on the bus parking for KTM trains (Malacca and Singapore) KFC taxi.



3, After settling down in the hotel, we visited old station (Kuala Lumpur Railway Station), National Mosque (Mational Mosque),Museum of Islamic Art (Islamic Art Museum).

National Mosque Opening hours: Monday to Thursday and Saturday 9-18, Friday 14-18, Sunday and national holidays.
        Friday: 3 pm-4pm 5-6
        Rest: 9 am-12am 3 pm-4pm 5-6
On entering the national mosque, tourists have to be on barefoot, and wear islamic robes:)



4. It was lunch time, we were in the Heights Field Street in the Chinatown, there was a Malaysia-Chinese style restaurant (金莲记中餐馆) Lotus note the restaurant: Fujian nodle, tea powder(鸳鸯奶茶). Nasi Lemak(椰浆饭), Laksa, Hainanese chicken rice, Bak Kut(肉骨茶).



5, KLCC-- Twin Towers (tronas Twin Tower). Negative layer 1.Secret Recipe, Haagen-Dazs and Pizza Hut on both sides, so the landmark was quite obvious and easy to find, here were our snack: Durian cake. Nasi lemak (Nasi Lemak).

We dined here:

Little Penang Kafe on the fourth floor, which belongs to the famous Malaysian Nyonya cuisine.



Day two:



This is a very convenient way to travel around KL.

taking the 'HOP-ON HOP-OFF' bus.
From morning 8:30 20:30, every 30 minutes through the KL Sentral floor 1 (that is on the second floor elevator) of the Information Desk, and then move out of the door, we can see the purple sign:

Day three:

On the 2nd Floor of Central Station,KTM, LRT, Monorail, all can lead to Tasek Selatan station, because several of rail travel are interchangeable . Tasek Selatan LRT station, in the station flyover above you can see a building marked with the TBS logo. Do not rush out of the station, we can reach the TBS passenger car center hall via the footbridge across the track straightaway. The ticket booth located in 3rd floor of lobby,   where we can purchase the ticket to Malacca, we bought round-trip ticket and went downstairs to take our bus.



This passenger transportation center is new multi-storey buildings, internal facilities are modern, comfortable, tens routes for Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding urban areas of long-distance bus lines. TRANSNATIONAL BUS company proposed to buy tickets. Buy a round-trip ticket.



17 bus line to the Red House. Along JALAN KOTA, went to The Architecture Meseum Building continue to move forward, is the seat: Museum And Antiquites Department Building --- The Stamp Museum. The Stamp Museum is the right of a MUZIUM, called the Muzium Dunia Melay DUNIA Islam --THE MALAY AND ISLAMIC WORLD MUSEUM. Then came to the entrance of these attractions is the entrance to the fort in front of the entrance to a mosque --- St. Paul's Church (St Paul's Church) red house down the other end, from the farm side street (JONKER STREET) are closer. Along the way, standing on the highest point of Malacca. Can see groups of traditional Chinese architecture, it is Chinatown, and now built-up city center. Then the distance actually saw the Malacca Strait. So this is the Malacca Strait.

Little Nyonya Restaurant(小娘惹餐厅)

Address: 88, Jalan Tokong (Jonker Street), 75200 Melaka, Malaysia.

Close on Wednesdays.

Consumption: two people to eat no more than 50 ringgit

Recommend:

entrees:
Nyonya Pai Tee (Little Nyonya Gold): it looks like a small cup, the

outside skin fried crispy flour, potatoes minces, carrots, onions and

fried shallots inside, very delicious. Golden small one, can be

swallowed, like spicy chili sauce and can be dipped, very appetizing.

main course:
Asam Pedas Ikan Pari (亚叁酸辣鱼), Ayam Chili (辣椒鸡), as well as hot and

sour chicken Baishun(还有酸辣百顺鸡), Otak-Otak (娘惹乌达), minced fish shaped

into strips , wrapped with banana leaf, then grill for some time.

There is chili peppers mixed with fish meat, so it tasted spicy.


Dessert:

Durian Pycnogenol(榴莲晶露), 2RM each. cool and sweet!




Day Four:

We had already booked a mini-van with driver over the internet, the guy is a local people who can speak a little Mandarin. He picked us from the hotel and took us to all the attractions we want.

Batu Caves will experience next.

Close to the Batu Cave, do not bring food, the monkeys will grab...

We took a luxury seafood dinner and enjoyed the beautiful sunset near the sea. It was really a stunning view and unforgettable, yummy dinner!

After sunset, we went for a fireflies tour by boat.
