6 days in Beijing: before you go.

We spent our holiday in Beijing on September last year, some tips for preparation:

1. google will not work in China; so it's better to download 'baidu' map with which it will be very convenient for you to go anywhere in Beijing by walk or by public transportation; some western people found it totally useless, so alternatively, you can buy a paper map anywhere in Beijing with 1 or 2 RMB, cheap, isn't it?

2. take your passport with you anywhere in China, especially those attractions, railway stations, you need your personal identity to buy entrance tickets;

3. exchange some RMB cash before you set off from your own country, citi plus account can also be used in China for consumption or cash advance;

4. don't go to China around 1st of Jan, 1st of Oct, or before Chinese New Year, it will be very crowded, people mountain and people sea, you won't see anything except people! so avoid those rush seasons;

5.  buy a transportation card in railway station, recharge money in it, so it will be convenient for you to travel anywhere by bus, railway, before you leave, you can return the card in certain place with full refund, not all places have this service, I know "Beijing South Railway Station" can provide this card-return service.

The next will be our itinerary in Beijing.
